Puzzled Pharmacist Wants To Know Why Two Little Boys Are Trying To Buy Tampons

The world, as seen through the eyes of children is a much more innocent place than the reality we know. And quite often, it’s this naive way of thinking about everything that can make for some awkward discussions, especially when the subject matter is something more geared toward adults. Most of us cringe when we think about conversations with our children about things they shouldn’t be concerned with just yet at their age. However, we also know that if a child wants information, they have a variety of places to get it, unfiltered and without the proper perspective. In this fictional story, two kids go into a drug store to buy some tampons. At first, the pharmacist doesn’t know what to make of their purchase but soon learns the hilarious reason behind it.

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.

The pharmacist at the counter asked the older boy, “Son, how old are you?”

“Eight”, the boy replied.

The man continued, “Do you know what these are used for?”

The boy replied, “Not exactly, but they aren’t for me. They’re for him. He’s my brother. He’s four.”

“Oh, really?” the pharmacist replied with a grin.

“Yes.” the boy said. “We saw on TV that if you use these, you would be able to swim, play tennis and ride a bike. Right now, he can’t do none of those.”
