Teen Daughter Thinks She Pulled One Over on Her Dad

If there’s anyone phase that most parents hate in their children’s lives, it’s the teen years. Those are the years where hormones are raging, and kids are pushing against boundaries harder than ever. During these years, parents go from being the ones who know everything, to becoming the ones who know nothing! Teens have a unique arrogance that drives us crazy, and some don’t learn their lessons until they step in it. It’s just a fact that sometimes you just have to let them learn their lessons the hard way. The dad in this fictional story had to teach his teen daughter that she wasn’t quite as slick as she thought she was.

A teenage girl had just been given family-car privileges when she returned home very late from a party.

The next morning her father went out to the driveway to get the newspaper and came back into the house frowning.

At 11:30 am the girl sleepily walked into the kitchen, and her father asked her,

“What time did you get in last night?”

“Not too late, Dad,” she replied nervously.

Dead-pan, her father said,

“Then I’ll have to talk with the paperboy about putting my paper under the front wheel of the car.”
